How do I deactivate my account?

Before we deactivate your account, please make sure that you've decrypted all the files you need and unlink your information following these steps:

  1. Disconnect your Dropbox and Google Drive accounts from the Account page of your Sookasa Dashboard.
  2. If you've added a credit card, remove your payment information from the Plans and billing section.
  3. Uninstall the Sookasa app on your computer.

Once you've taken these steps, please drop a note to support@sookasa.com if you'd like for us to deactivate your account.

This company sucks. I tried Sookasa and it seemed to work so I paid $100 for a subscription. Then Sookasa deleted all of the files in the Sookasa folder off my Dropbox account, I restored them and it deleted them a second time. So I asked for my account to be closed. This is what I got:

Apologies to say this, Sookasa won't refund anything since your account has been in active status till now so Sookasa has charged for annual subscription. If you would like to cancel your account please follow steps in below link.

...which links to this page. Step 2 is impossible. My credit card info is displayed but there is no button or link to delete it. They refuse a refund, less than 24 hours after payment!!

Way to ensure good reviews folks!!

I have been trying to deactivate this account for almost 3 years. It is not connected to anything, my card is no longer even valid but every time I have asked them to quit sending me notices my payment didn't process I get the same old response. Don't even know what they do or why I was signed up on it and charged $10 per month.

Sooooo. This company got bought out in 2016. Check the blog on main site. Maybe someone should start a class action because it looks like what they have done is continue to collect residuals off of people who signed up years ago and can't seem to make them go away. $10 per person per month is a lot of money. That's fraud in my humble opinion.
