How can I decrypt a Sookasa file on my iPhone/iPad?

If the file is in your Sookasa folder, simply open the Sookasa app, browse to its location and tap it. The file will be downloaded, decrypted and opened for preview.

If you have a Sookasa file in another app (like Gmail, Mail or Dropbox), you can tap the square with the upward arrow, select "Open in..." button and then choose to "Open in Sookasa". The file will be decrypted by Sookasa and opened for preview.

Is there any way that, as a company, we can add security for our users who use the app? For example, currently, if someone stole their phone, and the user was already signed into the app, the robber would have access to all of the Sookasa files.

    Hi Cailey,

Of course! Even when the user is signed in, there are two ways in which Sookasa helps protect your data:
    1. From the Devices tab in your dashboard you can block the device in the event that it gets stolen or lost. Once it's blocked, no files can be further accessed from the Sookasa app, even if cached copies of the file exist.
    2. We have an automatic log off feature, which means that the app will require the user's password once it is inactive for some time. Very likely, if the device gets stolen, it will require the password in order to open encrypted files, preventing unauthorized access. You can set how long it takes for automatic log off to trigger from the Account tab in your dashboard.

    I hope this helps!

    Hello,

    Hello,

I recently migrated from Safemonk to Sookasa. Overall the system is providing good performance, but a major bother is that every time I'm opening an encrypted document on my iphone, the app asks me for my password; this proves very cumbersome and slow! Is there any way to enable decryption on my device by using a nulbered code? This was the case with Safemonk, and it was really useful!

    Hi Genevieve,

Welcome to Sookasa and thanks for your feedback! The Sookasa app will prompt you to re-enter your password when it gets sent to the background. It's on our product roadmap to support unlocking the iOS and Android app with a passcode. Appreciate your patience!

I would also suggest building in support for 1Password, or at least TouchID on an iPhone? Is this something I should post elsewhere too?

If you're not familiar with 1Password, check 'em out at agilebits.com. They're getting more and more services to support direct access to their password vault (with the user's master password for 1P, or TouchID). Great timesaver!

Thank you for your suggestions, John! I agree that they're both very useful integrations to have. I'll pass along your suggestions to our product team for their consideration.

Do you have any news on support for 1password and TouchID? Without them your iOS app is very difficult to use. Let's say almost impossible, but at least extremely uncomfortable.

As a paying-user of Sookasa, I agree with Tamás; your app would be vastly improved by supporting TouchID & 1Password. Are you getting any closer to offering those features??

    Tamás and John,

Thank you for reaching out. These two integrations are on our product roadmap, though we don't have a specific time frame as to when they'll be available.

We'll be sure to update this thread and reach out to you when we release these features on iOS.
